How to remove EXIF data

What gets removed
EXIF (camera, settings, dates, GPS and the embedded thumbnail), XMP, IPTC captions and credits, JPEG comments, PNG text chunks, and any extra data appended after the image. The picture itself is not re-compressed.
Questions
Does removing EXIF reduce quality?
No. Photos are not re-encoded. Only the metadata around the image is removed, so the pixels stay exactly the same.
Do social networks already remove it?
Many do, but not all, and not for every kind of upload (original-quality downloads, email attachments, forum and marketplace listings, direct messages). Cleaning a photo yourself means you do not have to guess.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Cleaning happens inside this tab, and the files never touch a server.
